Ongoing web project fueled by a JavaScript quiz engine. Highlights of the initial beta launch include a lightning-fast client side test engine with a timer and detailed scoring results. Additional features will be added incrementally focusing on continous improvements in a live production environment.
Given only a logo and a meeting, I was tasked with designing and developing a website from start to finish. I began by visualizing their potential client's needs. From there I was able to create an attractive user flow and site architecture. Using Bootstrap to rapid prototype, I was able to get some immediate feedback from my client.
I used Twitter Bootstrap 3 as the foundation before adding HTML5 semantics with some CSS3 animations and other features. Development was sped up by using PHP server side includes. Facebook and Twitter API were used to integrate social media throughout the site. A PHP testimonial section with ratings was added. Content was produced with Creative Commons material as a base and customized through editing and copywriting. The result was a beautiful responsive website with about thirty pages of content.
Search engine optimization was achieved through microdata, metadata, and keyword inspired content. Web presence was enhanced through Facebook Open Graph, Twitter Card, and Google Authorship metadata.
Content was updated regularly, while design adaptations were honored by client request. I trained client how to use Google Analtyics to monitor site acqusition and user flow. Continuous improvements were made throughout production.
